Start and finish at the Morgan County Fairgrounds

RACE START TIMES -Marathon & 1/2 Marathon 6:30am, 10K 7:00 am and 5K 7:15am. Please plan on being at the starting line at least fifteen minutes prior to your race time.
PACKET PICKUP - Packet pick up will be Friday, June 21st from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the Morgan County Fairgrounds. ID is not required to pick-up your packet. A Hometown pasta dinner will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and one dinner ticket is included with each race entry. Extra dinner tickets can be purchased at packet pickup. You may also pick up your packet the morning of the race, please arrive 45 minutes before your race begins.
TEMPERATURES – Early morning temperatures at the start line vary from year to year (between 30-50 degrees). Runners should plan to dress accordingly.
10K AND 5K COURSE -The 10K course will take you up Round Valley Road past Round Valley Golf Course. An aid station will be at the top of the road, which is also the turn around point. This is not a closed course so please use caution and common sense while running. After the turn around, run back down Round Valley Road and continue in the same direction as the 5K. The 10K and 5K will turn at Circle Drive off 100 South and will continue on 200 East, passing Morgan High School on the right.
TIMING-Timing for the Marathon, 1/2 Marathon and 10K will be provided by I RUN UTAH (5K runners have the option to upgrade to a timed chip, otherwise the 5k is not a timed event). The timing chip is attached to your bib. Please be careful not to bend or otherwise damage the bib. Please wear the bib so that it is clearly visible from the front. You can expect to find live results at www.irunutah.com as soon as you cross the finish line.
PARKING-Parking will be near the start/finish line at the fairgrounds. Please park in designated areas and follow the parking volunteer’s directions. Please carpool if possible, parking space is limited. When leaving the parking area please turn right (the same direction as the races started). Do not turn into the runners finishing the race. Drive East then turn right after crossing the bridge and continue around until you reach State Street, then turn right to get back to the highway.
CLOTHING DROP – A designated clothing drop box will be at the start line. We’ll do our best to return clothing dropped at aid stations to the finish line.
PACERS – The American Flyers Pacers will be available to both Full and Half Marathon runners. Look for the pacers at the start line with their bright yellow vests and signs.
AID STATIONS- All Aid Stations will be equipped with water, Powerade and a variety of fuel, including GU. Porta-Johns will be available at the start/finish and at some (not all) of the aid stations. The aid stations are located by availability and accessibility, not always on the mile marker.There will be roaming aid stations (Rangers) equipped with water, Powerade, electrolytes, GUand more!If you need something during your race, ask the Roving Rangers!
Marathon: Aid Stations will begin at mile 3; thereafter they are approximately 2 miles apart.
Half Marathon: Aid Stations will begin at mile 3 and will continue every 2 miles.
10K:There will be 3 aid stations for the 10K.
5K: There will be an aidstation along the route between mile 1 and 2 with Otter Pops!
If at any time you are in need of help, please flag down one of the Roving Rangers or stop at an aid station.
COURSE RULES- The Morgan Valley Marathon is not a closed course.There will be signs and arrows marking the course as well as volunteers and officers who will direct runners. For your safety, along state Road 66, marathoners and 1/2 marathoners must stay on the rightside of the traffic cones at all times. Participants should run against traffic at other times, please use common sense and safety around corners. While the MVM does not prohibit personal music devices, you are strongly encouraged to be aware of your surroundings during the race.

SPECTATOR AREAS- Spectator sites for the Marathon are at the Milton LDS Church (1255 N. Morgan Valley Drive), the Enterprise LDS Church (2755 W. Old Highway Road in Peterson), Hinds Gas Station (4295 N. 3800 W. in Peterson) and Riverside Park (195 E. 125 N. in Morgan). Spectator sites for the ½ Marathonare at the Porterville LDS Church (2700 S Morgan Valley Drive) and Riverside Park (195 E. 125 N. in Morgan). Please do not follow your runner in a vehicle. This causes unsafe conditions on the road for all runners and volunteers. Spectators need to be aware of private property--please do not block driveways, pastures or park illegally. There will be plenty of room to cheer on all runners at the finish line!
FINISH LINE- The 100th runner to cross the finish line will receive $100.00. Finishers of all races will receive a MVM finisher’s medal. Post-race food and drinks will be provided at the finish line for runners only. Medical help will be provided by Mountain Star Medical professionals. Free massages, provided by Structura Body Therapies, will be only made available for Marathon finishers. Only MVM runners will be allowed in the finish line area.

Age group categories for Marathon & ½ Marathon awards:
19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80+
All 1st, 2nd and 3rd age group winners will receive an award in the Marathon and 1/2 Marathon categories. Overall winners are not eligible for the age group award.
Awards will be given to the top 3 overall finishers in the 10K.
The 5K is a fun run, it is not timed and there are no awards for this race.
All finishers will receive an awesome MVM finishers medal!
